About Dr. Owen
Rulon Owen, DO, is a board-certified osteopathic family physician and senior medical examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration at Las Vegas Family Medicine, located in the Lone Mountain neighborhood of Las Vegas. The seeds of his future success as a physician were sown early on during his days as a student.
Dr. Owen finished high school a full year ahead of his class and was named to the Who’s Who Among American High School students and the Who’s Who Among Rising Young Americans. He attended Utah State University in Logan, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Dr. Owen received a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his postdoctoral training with a rotating internship at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa.
Despite his rigorous studies, Dr. Owen always found time to participate in numerous student groups, including Sigma Sigma Phi, the osteopathic honor fraternity, the student chapter of the American College of General Practitioners in Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, where he served as president and secretary, the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity and the Alpha Epsilon Delta Premedical Honor Society.
Today when he isn’t busy helping his patients at Las Vegas Family Medicine he enjoys volunteering and spending time with his family.
